Multispectral Camouflage Systems

BLÜCHER SYSTEMS® GmbH has developed a new two dimensional (2D) camouflage net that does not contain garnish on the upper side. The 2D net is non–snagging, easy to use and with its high tear strength, very durable.

The net does not only provide a highly effective visual camouflage, it also protects against detection by thermal cameras; hot spots are covered by thermal sheets before the net is applied.

The FIR net type is employed to avoid detection in the wavelength area from 400 nm up to 12 000 nm (UV, VIS, NIR, TIR). This is achieved by a unique net structure in combination with a special coating.

Additionally, the FIR / Radar net disrupts radar waves in the area of 8 – 12 GHz, 35 GHZ and 94 GHz. The effect is partly caused by absorption and partly by scattering of the waves.

The nets are flame resistant and halogen free impregnated.

The net comes in newly created designs for Woodland, Desert and Arctic / Winter. These unique patterns lead to an excellent three dimensional effect. The second side of the net is either of plain color or has a second camouflage pattern. This allows the usage of one net for different scenarios.

Kits with all necessary accessories are provided. If required, support systems or complete shelters can also be provided.

Another application of the net is fixing it directly onto a vehicle as mobile camouflage.

The nets were introduced by the German Army and have Nato Stock Numbers.

The following NATO Stock Numbers (NSN) have been assigned to the camouflage net:

FIR:

• NSN 1080-12-336-7735 (size 6m x 9m)
• NSN 1080-12-336-9104 (size 3m x 4,5m) 

FIR / Radar:

• NSN 1080-12-336-7628 (size 6m x 9m)
• NSN 1080-12-336-7736 (size 3m x 4,5m)
